transporting car across country
Any ideas/experiences with vehicle transporting companies. This would be from the Bay area to the New England(CT) area. I was looking for a fully enclosed truck or train transport but I only have seen a couple.
Any input will be appreciated.
Cheers

this is probably totally useless, but i sent my car from oakland to boston a few years ago (1984 alfa spider). i dont remember the name of the company but they came to my work, put it on the truck and dropped it off at my bros house. cost around $800 they were kind of dicks about the drop-off. i seem to remember them trying to ship it back here cause we wouldnt pay some overage fee. i'll ask my bro for more details if you want but my advice is to make sure you pick a reputable company. most of the companies out there dont actually do the shipping they just outsource it to other companies so no one is really that libel if problems come up.
good luck!
good luck!
my gf just did a SF to TEXAS transport. open trailer.. since close was more expensive. It costed her about 800bux. there are various companies. The one she used, the people were real friendly. We went online to search for that stuff.
