maybe they meant spec c but I don't know of anyone locally that was able to obtain a spec c engine. those are pretty hard to come by

 

I'm guessing built 2.5 liter with RA gears? Definitely not a legit spec-c though.

 

I don't even think it's a built 2.5 or even has RA gears in it... I'm thinking external body styling and stickers

I was going to those options because of the "receipts" for the race engine and tranny

Although judging by his poor grammar and spelling, I don't see how he could have a job high paying enough for a built engine and tranny

there supposedly only one version 8 engine on the island and it's supposed to be the guy in Hawaii Kai. It's also not a spec c engine. But no one has seen the engine nor the car. He also sold it too I think but it wasn't an 06, it was a bugeye

 

I would assume it'd be the guy that just got here with the 2.7 kit blah blah blah. But when that guy made a thread here he listed everything nicely. But it does show a outta state number so yea. Who knows.

do what I did...my second car is a beat up old 95 4-runner...it's a nice beach car that I don't have to worry about...I finally get to park close to the entrance at foodland without worrying about door dings

I too came across this on craigslist. Was surprised that he did not have any pictures. So i e-mailed him and asked for pictures and nothing, I also called him and tired to set up a time and place where I could look at the car he said he would call me, he hasnt called me back to give a time. Guys name is lance, thats as far as I got on the phantom rex.

Yes thats the 2.6L stroked "10second suby" and yeh his name is lance. i know alot of ppls who have seen the car. i believe he has a cosworth bottom end. i think he said its running 11's in the mainland. i know that this car IS very fast and also is on PPG gears.
