heres a cop gettin OWNED in 0.5 sec......

So on Sat night at RIM a couple of Sheriffs that were out there to keep an eye on the fairgrounds decided they wanted to show off a bit to the crowd watching the Super Special stage before they went home, so halfway through the event they set up an impromptu phoney police chase where they circled the rally stage chasing some big *** 4X4 with the lights going. When everyone saw this they let out a collective 'whatevuh' and there was much eye rolling...

untill the truck came to a complete stop in the middle of the big mud puddle.

By the time the cop trired to brake, he was already in the mud and just slid, brakes locked, right into the back of the truck.

There was a slight pause and gasp from the crowd, and then the whole place lit up!

I swear Ive never heard such a huge reaction from a crowd that size before, you would have thought they just saw their home town little league team win the world series against the Chicago White Sox. People screamed, howled, high-fived, stomped the bleachers, it was glorious, Im just happy to have been a part of it

heres two cops about to have what will go down in history as one of the worst days of their lives...

the aftermath....

hit the truck so low it got away realatively clean...

later that night, they just left it there all doors open and everything

Expeditions and pre-2005 F150s are death traps... go look at the IHS crash test results and you'll cringe. If you hit something solid at 30+mph your *ss is grass!

Sheriff is county. Since the event happened off road while messing around and not during general police duty I'm sure the insurance won't want to cover it. The counter will need to foot the bill and I will say good luck to that sheriff ever getting re-elected.

I think they were just out there trying to have fun and be active in the community to show that cops are just people to or something. Sucks that they made asses out of themselves though.

I'm certainly glad I'm out of that town now. I bet every sherriff in the Antelope Valley has to come up with at least 4 extra tickets every week this month to pay for the damage.

Wouldn't want to be around there!!!

That's classic... Last I heard the regular police cruisers cost us all well over $75k each. Wonder what a fully outfitted Expedition runs... Good stuff. Nice to see all that expert driver's training at work.

Seriously. If they just sat around all stoic and without emotion, people would give them a hard time; when they try and lighten up and have a good time with the public, they still get a hard time. It sucks that it turned out like it did, but I think what they were trying to do was cool.
