Unhappy tranny went out at 13,000 miles!!

Is that a record? Do I get an award?

So I was doing an evo beat down last night. I gave him the boxster ownage in first and second, then came time for third and something happend... I heard a fat grinding sound and then third gear didnt grab, it felt just like neutral. It's like third gear doesnt exist. My car is still driveable, I just have to shift from second to fourth. Should I get it fixed or just buy a whole new tranny that can hold my power?

I don't get it, I've NEVER dumped the clutch, but I do slam the gears and dump the clutch after I shift in second.

Sorry to hear, Vhalin. The 2nd gear dump still puts alot of stress on the drivetrain for sure. Time for RA's

so in the end, u didn't beat that EVO did you? I guess You beat yourself. LOL

The FXT is not meant to drive fast or go EVO hunting, cuz you will never win unless you go w/ GT turbo
