Has anyone traded cars? My cousin and I want to trade cars, no cash involved.

What do we put on the title transfer? Gift?

 

I think if you are family, you can gift each other the cars. My Dad and I have given different cars and motorcycles to each other different times and not had to pay sales tax. Not sure how far past immediate family that goes though.

 

i think u have to sell it, so sell it for $1

 

When I got my Miata is was a straight trade. We had to put a price.

 

I traded cars with someone on nasioc (not related) a few months ago. Just checked the gift box and paid $15 reg fees. Told the dmv I was trading cars.
