Was wondering the same thing. Probably want to run street tires at first. They're far more forgiving and make a lot of noise before they lose group.

As for alignment, look into Auto Innovations in Milpitas.

+1 i would not run those tires if this is your first time. once you get your line down and start to get faster then i would think about switching to the r888s

Getting tires mounted and balanced....noticed some marks on the center caps...looks like someone tried to removed them at on point and failed

Seriously... run street tires first. Like people said, they are more forgiving.

No one is born fast. No one learns to be fast on the street. Except in the movies.

DO NOT GO TO A MOTORCYCLE SHOP. Last year I called EVERYWHERE and no one carries the helmets with the proper approval/testing ratings.

Call this guy:

408 410-9352

He runs Competition Safety Gear: http://www.cs-gear.com/

I bought my Pyrotech helmet (open face) for a really good price. The owner has a trailer he keeps at his house in Campbell. SUPER helpful. Got me fitted. Really nice and knowledgeable guy.

You'll not be disappointed. Super helpful. The guy even has gloves, suits, and other things in his trailer. He said he used to get out to all of the local SCCA and NASA events but hasn't been out in a while.

He's tucked back in a back street of Campbell. I couldn't believe how helpful he was. Will definitely go back and shop out of his trailer again for sure.

As a closed face helmet owner I would strongly suggest an open faced helmet. Better field of view, and you dont have to smell your BREFF when you start breathing heavy.
