Car Info: 03 Wrx black sedan + 2013 BRZ
Currently in Japan. BRZ went on sale in Japan today, Thursday the 26th. I happened to find the Subaru Building in Shinjuku and found the BRZ showroom. They had two BRZs in there, a WRB and a White one. They look awesome in person, really awesome in person. I'll post pics when I get home from my vacation. The seats felt very comfortable however, as was pointed out previously, there is no leg room for the rear passengers.
I picked up 3 of the BRZ brochures. For the Japan market they get 3 different trim levels: RA, R and S. S is the top model and RA is the bottom. S, in MT, starts at 2,793,000 yen. R, in MT, starts at 2,478,000 yen. RA, in MT the only transmission option for this trim level, starts at 2,058,000 yen. S is the only trim level that comes with 215/45/17 as standard rubber. The other two trims come with 205/55/16. Also in the pictures the RA is rocking steel wheels that look like the spare steel wheels.
As for options listed in the brochure there is:
1. LED Light bar above the fog lights
2. Chrome trim piece
3. I think it's a non-CF Rear diffuser or lip. I can’t read Japanese
4. Navigation
5. STi front lip
6. STi Trunk spoiler
7. STi CF (I think) rear diffuser
8. STi wheels (think they are made by Enkei as Enkei is in the description)
Spec pages is obviously all in Japanese and a lot of the specs have already been posted. I thought it was interesting that has a 13:1 compression ratio and for those that want to know the gear ratios here they are for the MT:
1st gear: 3.626
2nd gear: 2.188
3rd gear: 1.541
4th gear: 1.213
5th gear: 1.000
6th gear: 0.767
This car looks pretty sweet in person. It was nice to be able to sit in it and check out the engine. Wish they would have let me start the engine. BTW the woman working the counter was looking pretty nice too.
When I get back I'll give a brochure to someone that will scan it and put it up online. I'm a lazy SOB and starting a new job so prob won't get around to scanning the whole brochure.
