both tiff and jeremy co-hosted top gear together on BBC, somewhere around the early 90's. jeremy left the show to do his own thing (he released a few of his own videos and had a talk show.) BBC cancelled the show in 2001, another station came out took tiff and the remaining cast and created 5th gear... BBC then decided to bring back top gear a year later. tiff is a former f1 driver, i loved watching him run through their old race track...

I caught that last night too, good episode. Except if they are the Nurburgring, why didn't they at least follow or show one REALLY fast car have a go at it. The Jag was cool and all...but c'mon, they should have brought a super car there.

I've caught about 5 episodes so far on Discovery, I'm glad they have it on there because my TV channels are very limited right now.

I like tiff too, but the show Top Gear is better. It also helps that Top Gear has there own airport/race track.

Needles is a fantastic driver. I liked both shows a lot, but Top Gear has a certain flare to me.

The C6 episode was absolutely hilarious. And I love the stig's tests.

FYI, if anyone wants to view the last two seasons of Top Gear along with some older clips, and 5th gear episodes too, they have been hosted over on WRX Fanatics for awhile (VERY fast download speeds, better than the bit torrents):

(Yes, you do have to sign up to download the vids )

Tiff is the man. He is what makes 5th Gear better to me. You're right though, he does seem twitchy. Well, it seems to get him around a track pretty damn well, so who am I to talk.
