if the power here goes out we have generators that get us back online in < 15 seconds

I'm leaving early anyway to go make sure my fence and the house are cool. Our fence blew down earlier this year so I wanna make sure it doesn't happen again.

I was driving on my way to work and this Jetta didn't make the turn and slammed right into the wall...people need to learn to slow down.

But it is fun to drive through the flooded areas and see the water fly all around.

Grew up in Alabama, and lived in Houston a while. Feels like home

Street in front of my place in Houston would flood to a foot deep about 3-4 times a year. It was amusing to stand on the balcony and watch people who THOUGHT their cars would make it thru the water safely.......if you see standing water, don't drive thru it!

Weather sucks, but S03's are nice.

I can't wait to go across the San Mateo bridge this afternoon.

There is a left turn onto Autumnvale from Tradezone/cropley that I take to get to my office. Every time its wet, I drift the hell out of the turn. I love awd.

my friend just told me a trans am was speeding on business 80 right at the merge with I80 (heading E.). Just as a large gust of wind came through, the trans am hit a large puddle, started spinning, smashed in to the center divide and kept spinning a few more times till his mashed up car finally stopped.

People need to realize you can't drive like you do on a clear, dry day when it's gusting up to 70mph and pouring rain. dumb asses.

Damn. That means he had to cross at least 4 or 5 lanes of traffic to hit the center divider.

It was fun driving to work today (I also like seeing the water spray up like that ). After parking the car, however, I was faced with having to walk through a huge puddle that covered the entire intersection in order to get to the building. Sitting here now, with my pant cuffs almost dry and my shoes following, I am dreading when I leave work having to go through that same puddle again. This time, I think I'm just going to roll up the cuffs, take off the shoes, and wade through it.

I don't mind the rain, its the wind that's bad. I keep worrying about that damn tree in my yard next to my house, which I need to chop down cuz seeing it sway in the wind is pretty scary.
Glad I just brought my car battery powered UPS on-line at home last week. I can't wait for a black out so I can test how long this baby can last

I thought I had an umbrella in my car. No dice. By the time I got on BART I was soked....dried up some...got off in S.F. No freakin joke it looks like god is really pissed. I have been working here 6 years and just talked to a coworker thats been here 8 but in the city closer to 20 and she said that she has never and I definately have never seen rain this bad in s.f.

In a 3 block walk the only draw spots on me are where my rubber jacket was. everything else is soaked through and through. There is so much water that there was a spray of water coming out of the drain next to my building ranging from 4-7 feet..continuous. Up OUT of the drain. The corner had an easy 14 inches of lake probably 15 feet out. It's nuts.

And I'm already sick..this aint helping any.

I hope this chills out cause I will be driving into a damn blizzard tonight on my way up the mountain and it will be past scraper time....bah. Least the snow will be ripping tomorrow.
OMA...i'm not strictly a fair-weather boarder, but this storm...come on, you should consider sitting it out this week. like everyone said, the rain sucks ****...going up to the snow is a frickin' suicide.

as for me, i'm sitting this week out. i also enjoy this kind of weather...it's comforting.
