Today, I got justice.
So something like 2 years ago I started working at Trader Joe's in Napa. About a year ago I worked in the Dairy box which is a separate enclosed area that gets no traffic other than people who are in there restocking the Milk and other products.
I would keep my personal stash of stuff back there because it was more private than the lockers that you couldn't even put locks on. I had a nice pair of Oakley Romeo 2.0's that I have gotten from a friend who worked at Oakley for a pretty significant discount since they were like 800 bucks back then. I had taken a break and come back to found my glasses missing, I reported it to the manager on duty but nothing ever came of it.
Today I walked into the store to do some ordering on my day off and I stopped dead. Standing right next to the manager was a fellow employee wearing my goddamn Romeo's. I knew they were mine because I had scratched the right lens in a very unusual way. I asked him where he got them and basically called him out right there. I could verify they were mine from records kept from when an Oakley employee purchases a set of glasses from what I understood and challenged him to produce any proof of purchase. (I have the unique case they come in, receipts and the records from oakley to back me)
He ended up handing them over to me right then and there. I couldn't believe it when he tried to start getting all defensive and in my face about it after the fact. LOL I can't believe they didn't even reprimand him either, said it was all ok cause I got my glasses back despite it being almost a year later.
For everyone that has had something stolen from them, sometimes we get it back! Amazing.
Edit: Some of my friends have scolded me for not being more secure with my belongings and now I do not bring anything into work with me other than the bare necessities. But in my opinion they weren't his, he knew they weren't his and he knew that they had to be a fellow employees as they were secured in an employees only area so he knew he was stealing from a coworker. If it was my business I'd fire him, but ya know I'm the victim and full of vitriol and rage.

This guy lives on Oak street next to Fuller park too and he's rocking an I-club sticker, I posted in the northbay sightings thread but got nothing.
I haven't met the guy but I've been curious as I jog around that park, my friend told me I was creepy for taking a pic:

That's me bro! I work around the corner on 3rd street and park there when our parking lot is full. Give me a holler if you see me around.

I got them for 125 when they were running ~800 employees of oakley get ridiculous discounts :P I got them ~3 years ago. The main point of discussing price was that not everyone has these glasses just running around ***** nilly and it was a rather unique circumstance that I couldn't get another pair reasonably.
Also, hi cal. I live about 2 blocks from fuller park, if I'd have seen you I'd have said hi but yeah. Hello now!

While this is incredibly tempting and he did tell two very conflicting stories directly in front of two managers within seconds of me confronting him both managers stated that it's a non-issue since the property was returned.
If I make it an issue by going over their heads they will make it my issue. Regardless of labor laws it will fall on my head if I push the issue. I plan on making a career out of my position now and they will make that an uphill battle for me if I push it. It's really not huge for me anymore since I don't bring stuff to work anymore, I just can't be as trusting as I'd like to be with co-workers. It's just an unfortunate truth I had to learn.
I just wanted to tell a tale that everyone who's been a victim of theft could relate to, would cheer that I got my stuff back and be reminded to not let your guard down so easily. Thieves are everywhere unfortunately.

Make sure you have a friend to witness his poor attempt to swing at you..... (or have your friend make it up) lol
wow...why am I so heated right now.....I think i need to relieve some stress.
