Tires!
does anyone here around the peninsula/east bay area have an extra set of wheels/tires I could borrow for a week or so? 5x100 for WRXs. I blew my extra set of wheels today driving over some smallish kinda dish, both pass side wheels are done, had it towed to a friends house today. It sucks because just 2 weeks ago i got 2 flat tires as well....-___________-
And does anybody know of any specials for getting some new tires? anybody know if any shop can offer me a bigger discount for buying 8 tires at once? looking for an all season/summer tire set and a winter tire set
thanks!!
heres some pics..lol

You can talk to Auto Innovations as they should be able to help get some really good prices for tires for you. I don't think they are going to offer any discounts for 2 sets of tires, but I guess it couldn't hurt to check.
What size tires are you looking for and what kind of budget do you have?

some of those sketchy looking craigslist special shops are worth a look. Give some calls around and see. If you're looking for best bang for your buck, you can have a brand new complete set, installed, mounted and balanced for under $300. But the tires aren't going to be anything special....that's for sure.

What are you guys currently running on? How do you like your current tires driving around in the bay area and how much were they? So far I've looked at the dirrezza dz101 and costco has a deal on the bridgestone grid g019 for about $430 out the door. I'm currently looking for stock tire sizes(205/55/16)...
The dz101 is a great tire in that price range. Very predictable at their limits and really grippy for a midrange performance tire. I'll probably keep using them on my vehicles.
Oh - and they lasted 35k so far and still have probably another 5k or so left. The camber wear is what's going to do them in(-2f, -1r) but less aggressive alignment settings would result in longer life I'm sure.
