I like your tint 04GG, does the job, but doesn't scream PULL ME OVER PLEASE
I believe 70% is the lowest that's legal in California. I had 35% all around, I never had any trouble with the cops.

70% is what is legal because that is essentially factory polarizing. 50% gets by because as long as the other windows are darker and the cops can see in easily, they don't really care.

Eh. 50/50 I roll down.

But then again I drive windows down a lot anyways since I like the breeze. Didn't have any issues roadtripping down 101.

Another +1 for Vince. He's done two cars for me and countless friends/family members.

I was rocking 20% rear three, 35% front two in my Forester and never got pulled over (mostly east and north bay).

I got pulled over for my 30% front tint. Got mine done by Vince at Omega. The wait is pretty long though. My friend has had 2 cars tinted by Rocky Mountain in Livermore that both came out good.

Any thoughts on 0% tint, the type that only blocks of the UV rays? I heard some dudes talking about it the other day, seems cool since I don't like the tint look, but is just as effective

You sure it's 0%? The tint percentages mean how much light is allowed to pass through the tint. 0% would be no light possible to pass through.

That being said, I have heard of what your talking of. My Uncles M6 has that setup, looks clear but 100% UV protectant!

the windows themselves are at 80% VLT

they have UV protection.
