thinking about a new catback

Hey guys I am looking at different catbacks and about 4 of them really have my attention. i understand there is not a big difference in power but more of sound/looks. i am just curious what you guys use and how they sound.

so far i am looking at

blitz nur spec t
crucial racing catback
scoobysport catback (non-fart cannon model)
a magnaflow muffler with custom catback piping

any thoughts on why i should or shouldnt do any of those? or one that has a better sound over the rest? i cant go out like rocky and get 8 exhausts trying to find the perfect sound, so i wanna make this the right purchase hopefully the first time around.
anyways im looking for a not so deep but more raspy sound. the more like the SWRT ride the better. although that isnt the only type i will settle for as i understand the SWRT car is much different than ours. so i dont expect to get that sound just from a catback.

anyways

evsoul: Blitz Nur Spec Touring is awesome, only thing is you will have to get a piece welded in for USDM fitment, e.g. this catback is not made or ever made for the American market, to top it off, it costs quite a bit.

Scoobysport, I believe is pretty loud, a local WRX guy has it with a catless up/dp. Also a bit expensive, as most Scoobysport parts seem to be.

Magnaflow's sound pretty crazy - by crazy, I mean loud. Sometimes they can be good, sometimes they can be down right annoying. I know someone with a magna flow on their WRX, it drones on the highway.

Crucial Racing Catback - still in production, I'm waiting for it to be done. It's probably going to be the stealthiest exhaust on the market. Black piping from the down pipe area all the way to the end of the baffle. Right now, they're testing it with a different tip for the exhaust and probably adding in a resonator. It was droning a bit on the wagon, but it has GREAT tone on the sedan. I got to test the original prototype exhaust - it's VERY good. The build quality was amazing and I can't wait for it. It's even install friendly, as the bolts the flanges are moved to a position where your tools won't be hitting your heat shielding while you're trying to tighten the bolts.

Here is a not so good pic of my TXS standard turboback with standard muffler...magnaflow?? Its been called the v1 standard muffler and magnaflow, I dont know which one it is, but it sounds SICK!!

Low and burbly at idle and medium loud at WOT. Its not obnoxious IMO...compared to some other big shiny/flashy angled cans. Its audible on the freeway, not annoying at all. I love it!

yeah as far as i know magnaflow makes all TXS. but i dont know that for ALL txs products.
I was also considering a stromung exhaust but im still thinking on that, i believe crucial uses them.

i want loud, but not insane loud.. only because of cops. i dont mind loud exhausts personally.

i may just go ahead and try the magnaflow as a local shop that a lot of people in santa rosa suggest for custom work (a-1 mufflers) will do it i think he said for 350, that being piping and muffler installed. so that aint too bad. and not a lot of money wasted if i decide i dont like it.

thanks for the suggestions guys.

I have the APS 3.5" TBE system with GT SPec V2 header

and it is pretty raspy...

The header really gave it the raspy sound you are talking about...it is not a true equal length header...one side is maybe 3/4 the other so the subie rumble is still there...

I think if you went with an equal length header...then with a good dp like PDE or Cobb (both of which I used-catless) then added the cat-back of your choice, you would have that Rally sound you are talking about...

I've heard the GT Spec II header with the RS*R TBE....now that is one loud mean sounding system...Friends system

I've also heard the GT Spec II header with the HKS Carbon Ti, RFL-Ti, B&B catback, RFL-Ti axle back...all sounded totally different due to the header in the dp/cat-back combo...

I just reread your original post, my standard/magnaflow muffler isnt really raspy. Its more of a blub, blub, blub -- kinda deep but it does get a lil raspy around 5K+ rpms...not sure if this is the sound you want
