Think this is a bit of overkill?
Since the shotgun only holds 9+1 rounds, I figured to be on the safe side in case I run out of ammo and have the ability to stab the 11th guy with an 11" bayonet.
Better safe then sorry, eh?

I mean, who wouldn't crap their pants when they are confronted by that thing... Simple and very effective.
I <3 bayonets.

I would be shocked if you would be able to take out everybody and not get shot in a mass confrontation at close quarters. If there were an 11th person, I would believe that they wouldn't get close enough, and empty an entire magazine into you from a longer range. At least if I were the 11th person, that's what I'd be doing (from a tactical standpoint).

Lets use this turkey as an example. First shot is with a single slug from 10 feet away, second is a follow up shot with buckshot. I'd much rather get shot by a pistol.

I'm really glad that I've spent a lot of time in defensive firearms classes, you'd be amazed at how much you can learn about saving your *** in a hairy situation... Not only how to shoot the gun, but how to hide and avoid getting shot with some defensive movements... Most importantly is to remain calm in those situations... Takes a lot of practice.
