I believe SKYY has a distillery in the Bay, San Jose somewhere. A good friend of mine was the director of a bartending school in the east bay and they were going to do a field trip there at some point.

Hangar One in Alameda FTW!!! They've got a great tasting room and it's a cool location too.

+1 I'm obviously a vodka man myself >.> and I've been to this old naval base, and seen the Hangar One warehouse. Cool place to go, and there aren't cops roaming around or anything. TONS of space for a bunch of subies to park also. I know that's a key element for any meeting location. I mean you could seriously find parking for like 40 subies at least.

My favorite vodka personally is Stoli Elit. I've tasted like....every vodka you find at most bars, and some you can't, and Stoli Elit is pricey but fits my taste buds just right.

another +1 for Hanger One in Alameda. I believe it's $10 to taste everything they offer, additional $10 for Absinthe (claimed to be 1st legal for production in US since the ban lifted). I dunno how to say it, but to me they seem more of an interesting experience than vodkas tasting. Not a big fan of sipping small quantities of room-temp vodkas

Voda - vodka bar at Belden Pl in SF: http://vodasf.com A bit pricey, but interesting selection if you just want to try a shot of this and that

Cheers

The Moscow alcoholics buy that stuff (it's basically rubbing alcohol, 95-99%), then dilute it in a 2 liter bottle with water and get hammered for days. They die like flies.

I love Ciroc. It was good before Diddy endorsed it. Distilled from grapes as opposed to potatoes like other vodkas. has a sort of sweet aroma and goes down way smooth. around belvedere priced.

Stoli is another favorite..especially for its price.

good rule, don't mix good vodkas with stuff like red bull... leave the crap vodka for that.

...one more thing...white trash lady...2 big plastic bottles of popov... bad news bears...
