My 300D came in a few days ago and I've been playing around with it a bit. I can't post pics, cause my laptop power adapter is borked and am waiting for a replacement.

So far I have the 50mm f/1.8, the kit lens, and a 100-300 f/5.6. The 50mm f/1.8 is a nice piece of glass.

I have a Sony 5.0mp V1 so I still have something for point & shoot. Getting the 300d over a 8.0mp cam was a no brainer. The 300d's 6.3 mp are sharper than any of the fixed lens 8.0mp cameras since the sensor is better and larger.

Sorry if we're going off topic but how much was your Rebel? I've seen it as low as $650 or so from NJ or NY area.. To point and shoot I have a canon g2 right now..

$795 with the 18-55mm lens. I think I saw cheaper prices, but I went with buydig.com who was a highly rated vendor.

Thats a really nice camera! one of my friends just got one of those, and I washed/waxed my car up and did a cool photoshoot.....pics turned out great!!!

But the best part about that camera is that, the pictures that it takes are output directly from the camera at 300 DPI (print quality)! That means no photochopping to manipulate the image to make it print quaity.

Plus you can use regular interchangable SLR lenses with it too.

Nice pic! Good buy!

can't you put the weights on the inside of the rim (between rim and tire)?

Nice pic, I just got myself a Digital SLR and I'm loving it. I picked up a Nikon D70

It's working out well here are some of my first shots getting use to it:

Canon is awesome when it comes to photography. I bought an 10d camera last year before the digital rebel came out. Pictures are always sharp not like the old fujifilm camera.

What kind of Fuji camera did you have? These are some pics of my 04 wrx wagon @ 1.5?MP with my Fuji Finepix 3800.
It can do 3.2MP, but the images are too big. =)

I had the fujifilm s602 camera. The camera had alot of problems with focusing and image stabilization. I am glad that i now have the 10d. 6.3mp pictures, faster shutter speed and higher quality lenses. A big difference when taking photos of women in swimsuits.
