I would suggest checking out petaluma, or maybe sebastapool. If live south of santa rosa and are on a normal 9-5 schedule then the traffic wont be bad at all, in fact you will be going opposite way of the stopped traffic.

I also recomment craigslist.

Did about 30 minutes of looking on Craig's...found a couple not bad places.

There's a lot more places on Craigslist where I can find homes that I can work on my car rather than the normal apartment communities you find on rentnet.com.

Though the places on Craig's aren't as nice but are cheaper and like I wrote I can work on my car...which is huge!

I would also suggest this. Don't even bother with Sonoma. P-Town is much bigger and has a whole lot more to do. And is not nearly as turisty as Sonoma. Just the other day, I was going to get a cup of coffee when this guy drives buy in his Maybach. A 62 mind you not the 58. Followed closesly with not one but two Ferarris. One 360 with wheels and a 550 convertable. And yesterday I saw a SuperAmerica. It really pisses me off to see what this town has become.

I laugh at it though. I grew up on a farm just outside of town. I drive the tractor to my uncles house on Broadway from my parents house on Arnold Drive when my cousins needed help. Every now and then I would drive it into town. You get the strangest looks when you're talking on a cell phone while driving a tractor. I was trying to find a parking spot next to a porsche or ferarri just to take a picture.

1-2 rooms...garage would be great...quiet/safe neighborhood.

Party at my place when I get furniture...and install days too.

Especially if I pick up a new car! I already priced out everything I want for an FXT or an EVO!!!

petaluma is a decent place.. very old town style which is kinda cool.
i would suggest the old haystack landing house but that burnt down..

and yeah any of these north bay areas beat living in the town of sonoma.. not a very good highspeed internet location..

The area is beautiful.
Plus you'll get a chance to drive some of the best roads around.
