agreed!

unless a drastic demonstration is made, then the people that position themselves into the seats of power will be of the mindset that they can get away with whatever they choose to.

its pretty simple. if the person in front of you lies and has his head cut off close enough to your vicinity that the blood splashes onto your face, it will cause 1 of 2 things: you will become a phenomenal liar or you will tell the truth.

granted this is a VERY EXTREME scenario, but sometimes such extreme measures are exactly what is necessary.

Why is this "extreme measure"

1) Warranted with his situation?

2) Acceptable by any civilized standard?

Writing a long diatribe about how you hate the government and flying your own plane into a building full of people was no way to get people to join his fight. Especially considering his fight was over at the point of impact.

If he would have done it for Allah he would have been a terrorist, but he did it because he didn't want to pay taxes, so he's some sort of patriot self martyr.

It would have been better for him if he trained himself to shoot targets at long distances and shot the person in charge of the IRS rather than flying a plane into a building where people were just doing their jobs... Probably all corporate cogs that couldn't do anything to change anything, they were probably just living miserably at their crappy IRS jobs and were counting down the time until they could leave work and battle traffic before they got home so they could eat and go to sleep, then repeat the same thing... Just a thought...

Wouldn't taking out whoever is in charge (as well as all who operate under the person who is in charge) make a bigger statement?

The guy gave a great autobiography of change. His profession is a need and is usable in our society, even with all the side steps, he still got busted down every single time... America does need a wakeup call. This isn't just ousting people from their seats in the government, we're clearly beyond that. Either or, Dem or Rep., we still get screwed, they're just under too much for $$ and not enough for the actual citizen.

Stack is right, our voices aren't being heard, I hope more and more of this happen and more and more INNOCENT people die. Why? Well it isn't going to catch anyone's attention until something huge happens, and seriously there are only a handful out of thousands of politicians ready to take us on the right path... yet they're really the guys that get the worst amount of slack from all the other politicians... clearly titled as insane/psychotic but in reality.. the only way to give this country back to the citizen is for the citizen to shed some blood when the tyrants go off...

here's the problem.

the government needs money to operate. without taxes, how is the US going to provide services to its citizens/population?

as ugly as the IRS is, they are a needed evil.

personally, i say get rid of all income tax and come up with a flat SALES tax on everything.

after all, drug dealers, criminals and very rich people with very created accountants all have to eat...

 

I have a suggestion for increasing revenue/ end gov't waste: STOP FIGHTING WARS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES.

Oh yes, I forgot that we cannot do that. How else will we get resources...erm, I mean end "terrorist threats."

a tax purely based on consumption alone hurts the lower-middle class alot more since we spend a higher percentage of our income on physical goods and services, so a higher percentage of our income would be subjected to the sales tax. the tax code just needs to be simplified, and higher taxes should be charged on the rich than the poor. thats the only fair system. you'd think the way everyone is complaining here that you're all rolling in disposable income.
