What kind of exposures are you guys using?
I took 5 pics of my car in the garage just now with exposuers -2 -1 0 +1 +2
Tried the merge to hdr and says there isn't enough dynamic range. Does it help being outside in lighter conditions? Seems like that might be why it didn't work for me. I'll give it another try tomorrow.

Are trying that with exposure compensation? Try do it by either adjusting fstop while maintaining shutter speed, or vice versa, to get aq larger dynamic range.

Its possible your P&S camera wont have enough manual control to do this in a night time setting....Does it support manual shutter speeds (e.g. a 1s, 3s, etc exposure)? If it doesn't, you might have trouble doing this with a P&S.
