Here's one of my first attempts... HDR and the original.
I used a combination of Photoshop and Photomatix.

 

Quick tip for those without tri-pods (myself included): The world is your tri-pod, and in addition - use the timer mode ALWAYS because just the pressure of clicking the shutter will shake the camera enough to blurr the image. I've been playing with my 20D a lot more lately, and I am really looking forward to doing some HDR at some point. I need a tripod for sure... Well, one that doesn't suck anyway.
