I have Verizon....and they can suck on my B@||$.....I used to live in Sacto....and it would lose reception in the middle of town...but I could make calls from the middle of friggin BFE where nobody else could.....anyways, IMO, I hate verizon....and have been thinking of switching to T-mobile......anyone know if t-mobile phones can connect to Nextel's with the walkie talkie feature?

verizon is the best network in the US but i get guess it craps out in sac town, but down in here in the south bay its great. t-mobile is penls of the same network as cingular so the reception is the same, which is shltty. as far as i know tmobile doesnt ahve a direct connect and if they did u cant direct connect a nextel. verizon has a push to tlak though, but it cant direct connect nextel either

Anyone here use either? I'm mostly concerned with coverage/reception.
I'm getting ready to switch and I'm down to these two. I'll be calling mostly Sac area and some east bay.
Thanks!

I have cingular, everyone complains but I have not had a single problem with them...I have used it for about 4 years.
Also Verizon can kiss my ***, I hate that company.

Wow. Thanks for the quick (and passionate
) replies guys! I guess it's looking like T-Mobile for now. I have a couple of weeks to decide. I have Sprint right now (sucks @ss IMHO) and have had Cingular in the past (okay, but not great).
Black Shadow, I'm definitely serious about getting new phones (preferably on a Family share plan), like I said, in about 2 weeks. I definitely could use "a deal"
I'll email you! Thanks!

DO NOT get T-Mobile! its the worst of them ALL! well, maybe Cingular. Theya re tied for the worst! when i had cingular i could NEVER complete any phone calls. My gf has tmobile. 90% of the time she doesnt have reception. We're in oakland, sf a lot. although she does get decent reception in sac cause its so flat. But my sprint reception is like 500000X better everywhere.

well what u can do is just go with tmobile and try out there crap i think they have a like a 2 week return period as long as u have under a certain amount of minutes. if u dont like that cancel it and try out cingular or verizon or what ever, and just keep what u like.
one big tip when buying your fone and signing on ur plan. go to a direct dealer. dont go to a place that sells 4 different services becuase unless u know the person ur gonna get ripped off. trust me i work for one.

referering to the 30 minute trial period, that just depends on where you go. at my work this is what i give metro pcs gives 7 days 1 hour talk time, tmobile verizon and nextel i do 14 days less than 30 minute talk time. however if u go to a direct store which sells just that service it differs. cingular last i heard has 2 weeks minutes arent a issue, tmobile does an hour, and i think verizon is 30 mins. but ya research before you buy. check out the services web pages, check the prices of the fones, then go a direct store looking to either meet that price or beat it. o and ask if they mail in rebates some people forget to give those out (me).
