Thanks for the headsup! I just sent them a message on their contact forms.

I've heard of A.I. before, but I didn't know they do suspension stuff. Cool!

Leaning towards the strut being the issue at this point from what you've stated. Hard to know without taking it down further but sounds like the culprit.... good luck!

I can also vouch for AI. Great guys over there. Steve and Orlando will take great care of you.

I'd recommend some new struts. I know there's a lot of options for the GD chassis so you'll have to do some homework. I recently got a set of Konis for my car and I am loving them. But the installation process is a little more involved.

Yeah, Auto Innovations does good alignments. AutoRnD in Fremont also does good alignments.

Okay, so after much debate, I've finally decided to go this route...

Tokico D. Spec front/rear struts - TOKICO D-Spec Front Adjustible Shocks/Struts , DB3206/DB3207, Subaru Impreza WRX TOKICO D-Spec Front Adjustible Shocks/Struts

I will use my existing tanabe lowering springs on the tokico struts without purchasing new springs...don't see the need in getting new springs.

As far as I understand, I will also have to purchase a set of strut spacers to use on the D. Specs...so I'll get these TiC Scooby921 Strut Spacers - Springs & Shocks

(been wanting to beef up for a while) Cusco Type OS front/rear strut bar -http://scoobytuner.com/products/?vApplicationID=17&sfID1=8&sfID2=59&sfID3=468&prod uctID=4236

What do you all think? Am I missing anything else I need to properly install the struts? The bars I can defintely do by hand, so I know I won't need anything for that.

Thanks!

double check that the front strut bar clears your TMIC.

From eyeballing it and looking at people's setup on forums, looks like it will. If it doesn't, worst case scenario is that I'll have to shave off a bit around the edges of the TMIC.

Also, I've been reading that I'll need new tophats for the 4 struts. Is this an option where I can use my OEM ones or is it necessary? I figured I might as well since I'm already getting new struts anyways

I was told by AI that the WRXs don't have camber plates/bolt so I won't be able to adjust it. I think that's weird...is it?

As for the tanabe springs, I'm still debating that. I like the height the springs give the car now, so I'll ask if they know what the shocks will do for it.

You can add bolts. Not only that the com-c have camber on them which means no reason to run bolts

If you like the springs keep em unless they're sagging

Looks like you did some research and got some quality parts. Hopefully you didn't skimp out on the SS lines, since you didn't post any brand.

Other things I would add, would be the master cylinder brace from TiC. Honestly, though, I did my lines and brace at the same time, so I can't tell you which one did more, but holy crap does it make the brake pedal feel so much better.

I did notice you posted earlier about strut bars. These are just for looks. If you haven't bought them yet, for the price of a front/rear strut bar combo, I'd rather get the X-brace which has shown gains in handling performance/skid pad. Of course, if you have the space to mount it in the trunk. CarLabs Development X-Brace - Subaru GD

Enjoy the parts, I love the feeling of better braking.
