I think I'm gonna call up speed element and see if they can help with it. I don't trust myself to do anything with the suspension, as I really don't know anything about suspension and I've never done it before and don't want to mess anything up.

Probably a blown shock. The shock isn't fully extending with enough force to put the car back up in the correct position. When you take it off the car, if it looks like this video, you need new oem shocks or aftermarket. I just found out that mine was blown on sunday. I'm ordering my new suspension today. Also, check that tire and all of your tires, from what I heard, if your strut is blown, it can cause waves in the tire wear which I saw in my past set of tires which gave me reason to believe its been blown for a while..
I don't really know anything about suspension stuff. See, I always thought shocks and springs are the same thing..LOL!
That's why I don't trust myself with the suspension to do it myself. I know everything else but not suspension... =/
I'm thinking of calling up speed element or try finding some reputable suspension shop

If that's the case, I know I can't order just a single spring, so I'll have to order a new set of springs. I think if I do that, maybe I'll just coilovers or something...

im out on this one. with that many low miles on OEM? IDK. seems like a defect or something. Like as if your "valve plate" inside the strut has snapped off and dampening went out the window. or possibly a spring slipped? idk, but like i said...WEIRD.

Are you lowered? If you are on stock springs I have another set laying around. I really think if you are not seeing any wierd camber issues that your strut is blown. Especially if you are lowered.
I need a new set as well and an alignment in the front I am just waiting for the monies.
I am just going ot replace the struts and stay on my cobb springs as I have owned the car for three years and never been to a track so coilover would be a waste for me. I am either going with KYB or tokiko's

OH! well then. you are not all stock as you mentioned. the struts may be stock by drop springs WILL kill your struts.
OEM struts are made to work with OEM springs. Every strut has a stroke, or travel. When you put drop springs on your OEM struts, your strut is no longer reciprocating in the "OEM range" OEM struts were not made to work below the "OEM range of stroke"
but yes, if u have drop springs on OEM struts, that WILL decrease the life of your OEM struts.
Hence why i am against drop springs

HAHA, sorry...vaj asked if I was on stock struts and tophats, so when I said stock everything, I was referring to stock struts and tophats...lol sorry for the confusion.
But yes, I am on lowering springs, and I believe those are the only upgrades for the suspension that has ever been done to the car.
Ahhh, thanks for that bit of info. That does make sense now that I think about it. now i'll definitely have to look at some aftermarket struts then.
I have an appointment with speed element for next friday the 1st. Hopefully they cna give me some suggestions on which way to go

aftermarket struts with springs made for that strut are perfectly fine too. remember, its changing the dynamics of the shock that are what make or break. Me, i had the same issue u did when i first bought my scoob. then went to megan, then to BC BR, when i have my RSTI done, who knows. wouldnt be surprised if i dropped at least 3-4k on coilovers. also i chose coilovers for the adjustability. IDK how many of you are lowered and hit up tahoe. but we will get stuck in the snow on lowered ride. trust me, i know. with coilovers, i raise my scoob back to stock hieght to clear all that snow/rocks/ crap that u may get stuck on.
hopefully SE sets u up with a killer setup within your range of experience, budget, etc.
Goodluck bro!
