The only thing I download from torrents lately is anime. I usually find that crap on tokyotosho.com anyway since that's where all the newest crap to fullfill my nerd-dom comes from. If I wanted an album that's being leaked or download an album I never intended to buy in the first place for guilty pleasure (like 50 Cent's upcoming album), I just find it off torrentz.com.

suprnova does not log anything

if the RIAA/MPAA want to find out who is downloading "Movie X" or "album X" all they have to do is download the torrent and connect.

all off the IPs that are in the swarm are broadcasted from the tracker. the MPAA/RIAA now have all of the IPs they need to issue their "John Doe" subpoena and start the lawsuits.

in a perfect world more people = better torrents

in the real world everyone caps their upload at 2k

oh and torrents cannot compare to Usenet

I can download a DVDr in little over an hour. I dont have to worry about ratios, and ISPs killing torrent traffic.

oh and there is no way for the MPAA/RIAA to easly monitor who is downloading what from the servers, since there are so many and its anonymous.

it is a public site, so eventually a monitored tracker will get your ip and you will get ****ed. torrenting is not the new usenet, sorry that's just not true.

HUGE difference when you compare it to a private site. pre-times, speeds, etc... on private sites > public sites.

Private sites do indeed > public. Fact is I could care less, don't give torrenting crap. Usenet is not anonymous I can guarantee you that. Nothing is.
