Well, I have a shot of the engine back [fifth pic from the top]. Plus it was always swarmed with people and photographers [especially once Tarzan showed up] which made it pretty impossible to get a get a good shot unless you waited for like 30 mins...Turbo Magazine did a feature on it I think, you can check it your there. Yeah, it is a monster of an engineering...everything in the suspension is adjustable and I mean everything...

No. They didn't break. They were having heating issue's. I don't think that intercooler and radiator can hold 550whp

From what I can tell...
1. Tarzan. WRX. 1:44.372
2. Tyler. C West s2k. 1:46.893
3. Tanner. Crawford STI. 1:47.052
4. Brown. JIC Porsche GT2. 1:47.868
5. Johson. NSX. 1:47.968
6. Sheehan. GST L. 1:48.038
there's your top 6.
considering there's a GT2 and an NSX and a couple other high dollar race cars up there GST still did really well. Was just hoping for a win. You guys alright.

Cliff notes (I'll do my usual essay for release on Monday, now I have all the hard facts)
Completely changed the suspension all round (not even the same shocks on the car), made some drastic aero changes and had no setup or test time on them at all other than 10 laps in the pissing down rain at Infineon. Handed our driver basically a turd, filled it with gas and gave him a rag and told him to get polishing....
Some point in practice session in the morning saw some odd stuff going on with the cooling system, determined we were pressurizing the system and decided to have a crack anyway.
Gary ran a 1:48 on basically 19psi, we cooled everything down for the last timed session and decided to crank it up to try and get one lap in at high boost. Everything motor wise held even though we were running the turbo at about 35psi to maintain 24-25psi through the motor (10psi into the cooling system ftw!) We caught some bad luck when we caught a little too much paint prior to the esses (the pic is in this thread of what happened next). Shame as we were on a burner that lap and from the data it would have been very very fast.
At the end of the day I f#$ked up giving our driver a poor handling car with a cooling problem and asked way too much of him.
It wont happen again, Earl and I just finished stripping the whole car in preparation for the required changes and Tommy will be reworking the IC/Rad setup prior to the end of next week.
We will be back at BW for testing before the end of the year we'll post the times from that (they wont be 1:45's!)!

I'm glad you guys are o.k. Just bummed on the timing and bobble doll getting to talk **** during the off season.
Like I said before....kinda.. if I didn't know the potential of the car/crew/driver I'd have to say very good showing considering every car on the list above you cost 2-5x's more to build.
Still a good showing. Glad you made it out in one piece. Car looked good. Looking forward to seeing what happens when rain doesn't spoil your adjustment time.
