Here are some of the pictures I took this past Wednesday down at Buttonwillow Raceway. I did not notice many threads about this event, so I thought I contribute.

Note: I only have a crappy *** 3 year old point and shoot camera, so I could not really get any good or up-close pictures of cars racing on the track Makes me want to expedite my plans to buy that SLR. Enjoy!

wow...all of these cars look great...and that gt-r look great...basic but great!

 

Break? What are you talking about! Gary just decided to use a Subaru what it was meant for...rallying/off-roading! and show off to the other race cars!

Actually...I think on that lap Gary took a corner a little too hot and hit a patch/paint off track, which caused a tire to lose traction for a second (or car to briefly slide?). He (over?) corrected and the car snapped on him going off the track...But I might be totally wrong, I think that's what I overheard...

considering there's a GT2 and an NSX and a couple other high dollar race cars up there GST still did really well. Was just hoping for a win. You guys alright.

 

Yeah, everyone was stocked for the event as a lot of awesome changes were made to the L. I do not know the complete facts about mechanical and/or driving issues that transpired through out the day, so pardon my hesitation to go into detail as I know I will get things wrong. I will leave it to GST to comment on exactly what happened if they wish to. My personal opinion, is that from all the changes that went into the car, there were still bugs left to be worked out and there not enough time left to dial everything in.

 

Yeah... friggin rain rolled in all week. Makes track time and dial time pre event a little tough.

 

maybe is the flat black paint made it not slippery through the air anymore.

 

No love for 10th place overall??
