warmer air = less dense = less hp and less gas used due to expansion = better mpg
i am not a scientist and could be a little off, but our cars love cold air, but warmer air helps with mpg a little more. Plus I bet, like me, the heater is not being used as much if at all anymore.

haha, I obviously was over thinking because I was thinking along the lines of, taking heat from the coolant drops motor temps a few degrees which will result in more absorption of heat which results more power loss in combustion because the heat has other places to go then just expanding.

No you are right.....there is something they change in the summer gas............although I haven't noticed it fully.......I thought the exact same thing in my sti last week.........it felt like it was running better at least but that difference could just be between 2 gas stations or in my head.
my 97 l that i drive 100 miles a day in I dont like to floor so I can perserve it so who knows....prob wouldn't tell a difference in that anyways.

ive been getting 20-22 mpg in my 2.5L pretty crappy.
My Miata gets 31mpg going 65 and 21mpg going 80 lol 4K RPMS@ 80mph FTW!
RX8 guys, what are you getting? factory is 16/20 mpg...hopefully youre getting that. Nothing beats a rotary though.
oh yeah, whats A/C? you mean the button you press a dozen days a year? lol
not only does it lag your belts, it weighs like 50lbs!

But yeah I did notice a few better MPG on the fuel computer in the R32 as well.
