Is "summer" gas back now?

I just got a sudden jump in mpg, with no change in driving profile.

Is the summer gas back?

BTW, what makes it summer gas anyways?

I'm definitely getting better MPG's too. I think winter gas has more ethanol or something. I got a 1.4 increase on my last tank and looks like a slight increase from that on this one too

That might have to do with it, but also, hotter air means less dense air, meaning less fuel to keep the same air/fuel ratio.

Though, I did notice too, that I was WOTing more, and still got the same gas mileage, so I guess I'm getting better gas mileage if I don't WOT as much .

of course it does.. do you think people would care about good gas mileage if it cost $1 a gallon?

Summer gas = Gas expands when its warmer so you getta "fuller" tank. Make sure you dun fill it to the top, cause it'll overflow when it gets really hot.
