Woke up in the middle of the night with a possible solution.
Your brake caliper slider may be frozen on the right side. This will cause the....

Dammit you have an sti. Nevermind the calipers are mounted solid to the knuckle. Don't see the pads dragging, but check it out anyways.

Mine too pulls to the right. Gotten alignment at AI and I even told them about it and they test drove it. They said it was because the of the way roads are made. I checked my tire pressure and everything.

No, you have a good suggestion.

It doesn't matter if the caliper is fixed, sliding type, or floating, you could still have a bad piston. So who knows, maybe his caliper could be the problem.

But he says it doesn't start drifting to the right until about 4 seconds, I'm thinking it's the tie rods still. The tiniest amount of play could cause drifting (not pulling).

There is a natural crown in the road way to the right just like in other parts of the world where they drive on the left hand side the crown is to the left. You are going to have to naturally keep tension on the wheel against this crown but normally the wheel should be fairly straight. If AI test drove this vehicle amd said it checked out then I would go with their professional opinion as they know what they are doing.

Actually, I think what the OP should do instead is get corner weighted. Perhaps when they do the alignment, they don't factor the driver's weight which will slightly offset the alignment.

Speaking of which, anybody know a reputable shop to do corner weighting???

Roger Kraus Motorsports in Castro Valley. Best in the business for corner weighting and proper race alignments. Talk to Brandon Kraus and tell him Greg Simpson sent you, he will know.

Thanks for the ideas. I know that there is a crown in the road, but I doubt that is my issue. The pull is much to strong. It has to be something more. AI does great work, and they improved the pull quite a bit. I know I could just live with the pull, but it seems like a waste to have such a great car with such an annoying issue.

Greg, thanks for the shop recommendation. I think I will give them a shot.

I would suggest checking all suspension related bolts/nuts for any type of play. I had a loose end link on my 05 STi and it would cause minor pull to the right about 6" every 8-10s. I had to tighten them every now and then until I recently replaced them w/MSI's.
