Can't get the movie?
Go here
http://www.everythingcelica.com/gal2/albums.php
Then download the movie
http://www.everythingcelica.com/gal2.../rollover.mpeg
It interesting to watch it frame by frame.
I can't tell for sure what he did to get into rollover mode, maybe the wheels turned to the extreme and a brake tap.

The guy was on the old forums (Patrick Olsen); IIRC he slid off line just a bit, and dug right in and went over.
That was his 99, he has a silver '97 GT now, and he's a good driver, running the OTC last year, among other things......
I remember seeing that video when it first came out ~3 years ago

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
THIS MOVIE!!!
Yeah, no kidding, this clip is OLD!
LOL, you made it sound like it was a legacy racing a 911 around the city or something.
Yeah, that was just too hot, lift off, and i'm sure he was running some huge rear sway and it kicked out fast.
hehe, had me thinking it was fast and furious on the highway.

that's kinda the exact same thing i did at UCKK a couple weeks back when i ended up in the ditch...I feel for that guy...even with lots of track time under my belt....accidental high speed drifts are close to impossible to save once the car has reached 90 degrees.....his problems was he should have let it spin completely and just slid off the track backwards!! Great Vid..

Yeah, with a friendly grass runoff, when you are off, you are off, so let it go.
Slide out the skid and then find the track.
Skidding, turning, braking, and wheel-grabbing grass don't go well together.
Even if you leave out one of those forces you can still go over.
Saw a nice upsidedown on 17 N around Los Gatos 2 years ago.
The guy dodged some stopped car he was about to slam into, cut left off the road, while braking and hit the deep gravel-dirt and went right over.
Wasn't even going that fast.
Was completely fine too.
Out walking around wondering how he got wrong way up.
Oh, and he didn't hit that car, just ended wheel-up sort of alongside it.
When the CHP arrived, the officer got out and the first thing he said to the guy was "How the hell did you manage to do that? And er, is anyone injured?"

Yes, this vid is ancient... WTLD (d = decade!)
Anyway, its alot like the evo drifting then rolling vid... Both cars dug in when they hit the dirt resulting in rolling the car, but this one is from inside the car and at a much lower speed. He would have just spun around if he managed to stay away from the dirt, but that front tire just dug right in and GOODBYE legacy

I just read the honda thread, and ya he needed to stay on the gas a tad bit longer and with less steering input to make the corner. He kind of over reacted to going in to hot... And no, its not a stock legacy
