I would still do the Stoptech's at the prices you linked, I know you can get them at a decent rate locally (MPJ and Vishnu are dealers).

I have run the 4 pots here and there and they are ok, you should look to some better rotors than stock for heat disapation especially as you auto folks use the brakes a lot more than the 5sp guys.

Ya, cause those are JDM imported 4-pots... Basically you end up paying twice for the same thing you can get from the dealership.

Its even cheaper here: http://www.renickmotorsports.com/osc...oducts_id=1436

And when www.subaruwrxparts.com comes back up, it has them too. But ya, now you can get the 4-pots from any dealership anywhere in the US no problemo.

Yeah, if you're serious about tracking your car and doing mountain runs, etc... I suggest something a little beefier than the subaru 4 pots... However, if you're like me and use your car as a daily driver with the occasional fun runs (every day), the 4 pots work great.

I went to the Impreza Brakes forum and did a search using keyword '4-pot'. Here is just one of the result threads with info on 4-pots and the WRX (there were a lot of results from the search).

What I don't know is whether the 4-pots will work on every model year USDM WRX from MY02 through MY05. Someone more knowledgable than me will have to answer those specific types of questions.

my car is only a daily driver, only a few mountain runs every now and then. so i think 4 pots will do.

Doesnt matter. The 4-pots replace the caliper and caliper bracket, and basically use WRX rotors. So they work the same for install onto any Impreza.

1 question, is it better to get just the 4 pot, without the rotors, and pads, and get some aftermarket rotors and pads...or just get the set; 4 pot with rotors and pads?

Get the calipers... The stock pads are cool... a little pricey however. You can use your stock WRX calipers.

oh 1 more...would it be more cost-effective to get the legacy rotors or the 4 pot :-/ I've heard some good things about the massive legacy rotors...btw, this set up is for an daily driver, and once in awhile mountain runs...
