subaru 4 pot brakes
first and foremost, i know this isnt the right area to post about this, but i thought id get some feedback from the bay area folks.
as of late, ive been pondering about upgrading my brake system. at first stoptechs were on my mind but a friend of mine brought to my attention the subaru 4 pot braking system.
i wanted to see what you guys think about this set up. pros/ cons

I think the 4-pots will clear the good RS wheels and most aftermarket 17-inchers like Rotas but will not fit behind standard WRX 16" rims.
These calipers should be up to any sort of street/highway driving with good pads, lines, and fluid, but may not be up to the task for highly modded cars on the road course because the corner entry speeds will be so much higher than stock. For my car, the 4-pots would be perfect.

iirc i remember some vendor over on nazicoc doing a group buy for the fronts for 500 something. they shouldnt be too expensive (at least i dont think) seeing as how the newer wrx's now have them stock

honestly, if i were doing a brake upgrade but didnt want to shell out the bux for the 4 pot fronts and 2 pot rears, id just go 4 pot fronts and leg rears, super bling and pretty cost effective !

do u think i should upgrade the front only or do both front and rear. with the links provided above its about a $600 difference to get rears done.

By good do you mean the better looking or the lighter ones? Mine are '01 RS stockers which are lighter, but I like the 5spokes way better personally (stylewise). Anyway, which izzit?
I really want these and have wanted them for a while. Can you simply buy the set of calipers and bolt them on to a WRX or an RS w/ WRX rotors and brackets? Are the line fittings the same?
Seems like for street driving, you wouldn't need to upgrade the rears so spend the money on some Porterfield R4-S pads at all 4 corners and just get the front 4 pots. I might be wrong, let me know. For more aggressive driving or light/infrequent track use I would look into the Legacy's though, even though they aren't as pretty - getting the whole set would be a really great and noticable balanced upgrade especially when combined with a set of stainless lines and some R4-S pads.

If you have stock wheels and are going to keep the stock wheels... Do the 4-pot fronts, and H6 rear upgrade (bigger rotors).
If you have 17"s, get the Legacy GT brakes on all fours... MASSIVE rotors that increase brake torque more than the 4-pots.
