I'm stuck at Kirkwood. The roads closed shortly after I got here and I didn't even get to put my snowboard on. Looks like I'm gonna have to get a room here...

They will let you sleep on the floor w a sleeping bag for free. Get lots of rest cause you are going to get woken up by that dynaaaamiteeee.

Getting stuck at kirkwood=best riding of my life. Better take advantage of the money spent if you get a room and make sure you ride tomorrow.

 

Be careful tomorrow its gonna be gnarly. And do t sleep in your car when its snowing. I've done it. It sucks and its dangerous. Never wanted to spoon another man so much in my life. ****ing cold bro. Cold.

 

I got here at 11am and all of the lifts were already closed! I was one of the last cars to come in from Tahoe before they closed the road. Visibilty was terrible. Thank god for snow tires!
It wouldn't be so bad except that I paid for a cabin in Tahoe and now I'm paying for a room here at Kirkwood. Hopefully the lifts will be open tomorrow morning and the roads open up at some point. I know another storm is coming tomorrow!

 

You better make sure you get those first tracks and first chair!!

I was planning on heading up 2moro, I guess not anymore. I wanted to ride squaw, and I'm not going to take another highway 50 route-->around lake tahoe-->then back to squaw.
