Stock ECU re-flash
I had a first stage re-flash and tune today at Gruppe-s (Mike), giving it an extra 20ish bhp ....but forget the figures, the re-flash and tune has made it a different car at the lower end of the rev range...it pulls so much stronger, and at the top end it boosts harder and longer...a complete change.
For those of you who have got a scooby and don't want to play with big mods (which isn't many by the looks of the mod lists of you guys) just yet, I would highly recommend this first stage...the drive home really put a smile on my face.
re. Gruppe-s... Mike was excellent, and was more than happy to explain the process, and the results speak for themselves.......now I just need another few grand for more mods :-)

Sounds great. I recommend adding miles behind the wheel before too many more mods. Getting used to the car not only helps keep you rubber-side down, but it also gives you more of a satisfying rush when you mod the next thing and can actually notice a difference.

isn't it bad for the tranny to increase the HP so much? I mean, I read in some posts where people's trannys would break because of all the torque and HP added. Is that true?
