I know how you feel with the constant dislocations. Back in high school I was a competitive swimmer, and our coach didn't mention how common shoulder injuries were/are in that sport.

I've had both my shoulders pop about 80 times each. It got so bad I couldn't lift my arm above my head without it coming out. I was somehow able to avoid the surgery through physical therapy, but there are many days I wonder if I should have gone the surgical route.

I can't throw a football or even a baseball comfortably with any kind of speed on it.

I wish you well with your recovery.

You'll be in the recovery room in no time with a man's hand on your bare shoulder spoon feeding you crushed ice...

At least that's what I remember... *tear

My brother first messed up it rotator cuff muscles do to when we used to brake dance back in the day practicing air flares and air tracks ... I dont know exactly which one he tore, but if you tear any of the four tendons.. Having a torn rotator cuff gives you pain when you use your arm. You may not be able to do certain things, such as lift your arm above shoulder height or makes it easy to dislocate your shoulder because the tendons are not there to hold in the ball socket of your humerus. but that's just my .02 cents.

so as a result his shoulder dislocates really easily. I remember we were working on our cars and he tried to help and his arm dislocated hah it suxors.

the surgery is pretty solid, he would be able to use his arm normally again after its healed. That means that he can work on his own car now hahaha instead of me doing all the free labor

I dislocated my shoulder last December skiing (well falling). Doc said I was borderline for surgery but decided we decided against it. I haven't dislocated it again since but its definitely nowhere near 100% yet. I couldn't imagine popping it out 40 times!! Once was more than enough!
thanks ed, you should get it fixed before it gets worse. .
