Is it me or do some people want to buy a STi for all the wrong reasons.
every person that test drove it either: pounded it, rode the crap out of the clutch, wanted all their friends to see it<not that bad>, asked what a "Broadway mirror" was, one guy was going 100mph+ on the freeway in the rain, revved out other cars on the road...yes it is a fast car, but where's the respect for the car or the owner...WTF!
every single person that I let test drive will crash the car or kill themselves in the next couple of months if I sold it to them
seriously thinking of keeping the car, it took me too long to find the parts and building it the way I wanted it to be...
**rant over** just came back from another usuccessful showing

Mike, you are so right based also on my experience... I was getting out of class today to smoked a cig., next thing I knew, there were these group of young racer boys and they were talking about EVO's and STi's. So I stuck my nose in their business to see what they would say and they say they trying to pick up an STi becase get "choke horsepower" according to them!! If they only knew, only respsonsible adults/evolve car enthusiats drive subies!! I had to walk away after..
But anyways, Bump for you TTT!!
Honestly, I've only met a handful of people here on i-club, but the ones I have met have the utmost respect for their cars, it's power, what it can do and their peers...I guess STi'z and WRX'z are dipping into a more affordable price range and it's sad to see what will become of them in a few years...I just can't see a car that I put so much time and effort destroyed by careless actions.....I just didn't see the love and respect for the car in the people who were looking into buying it

You said it, when I picked up my STi almost five years ago the entry price pretty much kept out the younger set. But as they became more affordable as used cars, all of a sudden there are these "street racer" types that now own them. They are now the ones who rev-out, don't know about i-club love, and pretty much give respectable subie owners a bad name. As a parent I would never let my teenager own a car with that much power, and I was pretty much appalled when I found out that STis and EVOS were showing up in affluent school parking lots. My 13 year old always asking about his first car, I keep telling him it will be something that is grossly underpowered. With power comes great responsibility.
