Stevens Creek - tell me about it.

I don't own a Subie anymore.. (unfortunetly i miss it, twas a good car) but my friend is ready to buy an STi. He told me he was going to Stevens Creek Subaru tomorrow.

HURRY I-CLUB, i have a few hours to develop enough hate to persuade him not to go there.

is it really that bad?

I went there, and walked up to a new sti and asked if I could drive one, he said sure (no questions asked) Let didn't even check for my licence, or credit check.

I jumped in, took all the plastic off the seats and pedals, drove a brand new 06, and then left No problems, hassles, or questions.

I went to the one in livermore, and they wouldn't even open the doors or let me sit in it without a credit check.

Let me guess...you're employed by Stevens Creek Subaru. That's the ONLY way in hell you could have possibly done that.

I have to raise the BS flag high up on this one, wave it around, and call you a complete LIAR!!

Didn't check for your license? For insurance purposes, they MUST have a copy of your drivers license before they let you move a car anywhere!! Come on now...you're simply full of SH**...

That might be "cool" in your shoes, but imagine being the guy that actually buys a car like that. One that has possibly been abused, taken out by people that walk through the door and ask for a joy ride. That sounds like very careless salespeople to me.

This guy (deanh8) is simply so full of SH**, he stinks more than the cow pastures in the countryside surrounding Petaluma...

Actually I don't think he works at Stevens Creek, or is even a liar. Did you care to look up his first post?

I dont work for Subaru, I was planning on buying one so I asked to buy it. I did not abuse the car, I have more respect then that. I did get on it for a little bit, but I did not do anything to the car I wouldnt want someone to do to mine.

They did not ask me for anything. The one I wanted to drive (black one) they said I couldnt because they didnt check it in or whatever yet, so I got to drive the silver one next to it.

I went back like an hour later and figured out payments and stuff with the same guy who let me drive the car. I was planning on getting it tomorrow but it seems everyone it trying to talk me out of it.

Maybe it helps that I went with my mom? who knows

just wait till you have to deal w/ their finance department. you'll want to really strangle them then. unless you have the patience to deal w/ a buncha bs and/or have a lot of negotiating skill.

they really do suck *****. i went in with my STi to buy an oil filter, and some guy totally starting hating on it, saying that his vette would kill any STi. remember this is coming from one of THEIR EMPLOYEES.

on top of that, their customer service sucks as well. they don't even treat you like a human. just a wallet. they even gave me the wrong filter. ARRRRGGHGH!

rant over!

only 2 personal experiences

Bought an oil filter for 12 bucks (rape)

Sold my 05 STi to them. THey emailed me from my craigslist posting and bought it on the spot. They likely sold it to a sucker for 30k

maybe we should start showing up in groups of 50+ when we know someone going to buy a car, and all stand around when the salesman trys to sell you a stick of gum for $500.
Then we can all crack our knuckles and jump their ***.

I baught mine from Steven's Creek. Lets just say I will never go back. It was a huge hassel, and their manager was verbally abusive to me. I would personally go to Redwood city Subaru. They have great customer service, and are an outstanding bunch.
If you work with thier internet sales department first you will get the best deal. Get a hard coded price in email for out the door. Then all you need to worry about is financing. I got my loan through Star Credit union if I remember correctly. They had great rates, and it was on a 60 month loan to keep the payments low. All you need to do is deposit $50.00 in a checking account to become a member.
If you can get a loan on your own prior to going in you won't have any problems getting through their finance group since they have nothing to do for you. Also my friend had a chatter, and thought it was his rear window. Turns out it was the pads on the rear trunk. The tech actually got in the trunk and had another guy drive it around so he could isolate the sound! Now that is customer service... Just my two cents...
