Only in Cali where a person can be Guilty until proven innocent. It should be the burden of the state to prove your parts are illegal or does not meet CARB standards for replacement, but it's funny how in this case, you have to prove that.
I am half way saved up for a 240z with side pipes & an SR20 open wastegate dump

my memory's kinda fuzzy but isn't it void if you don't receive a notice in the mail within a certain timeframe, or was that only for traffic citations??

I do believe that's neither.

If you dOnt get the ticket in the mail it's your responsibilty to call and find out why. If you don't you'll miss your court day and then it's all bad news

Or does the selling the car to a friend and going to court saying I sold the car still work?
This will not work. You will still have to pay.

I think that means you will have get it signed off to have your car to be operational on public road. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. My understanding is that he has to make a visit to state ref either he fights for that ticket or not.

I think he actually has to see the ref and get the car verified. Makes me glad I didn't get an HKS Hi-Power. I have a Tanabe Touring. *crosses fingers* Hopes to not get pulled over and cited.

i got busted for modified smog and put my stock stuff back on. then i went to the ref, paid the 8 bucks, got it inspected, and switched everything back. -no biggie. then i went to court to get my 1400 dollar fine reduced to 25 dollar "fix-it" ticket. just have all your stuff in order and the judge will be cool. you will most likely need to prove your running C.A.R.B. legal stuff if your going to leave it on.

I'm running 3.5 APS exhaust, got pulled over and cop had me pop my hood! Long story short, he let me go because my engine bay looks stock! Told me to get a silencer for it and left! God was on my side that day....... Most police won't bust yah unless your running more then one illegal mod! Once they pop that hood and see illegal stuff they get all happy! They rather give people crap that are not doing anything wrong then catching all the murder's and rapest out on the streets! They love giving out tickets that help there station out, that's what buys them all there new car's they drive! Got to love California law's
