Honda Accord revs hard on us as we wait at the light. Guy doesn't like that I take a picture of his car at the next light - flicks us off and pulls over signaling he wants to fight? Nice - you want to start an altercation with a man and his family in the car?

 

So where's the picture?

 

Speaking of racing Hondas...this homeboi was driving like he was auditioning for F&F 8. Funny enough we ended up at the same rest stop in NJ.

 

I won't post the pictures that clearly shows the car, the driver, and the license plate (I was the passenger at the time so I had a clear view). I will say though that civility is apparently on the decline.

I'm not sure if it's because our cars exude their rally/performance heritage and others not in our Subaru community want to prove themselves? I've had other car makes from Porsche to Corvettes and others rev on me and I just ignore it - save it for the track! I guess all I'm saying here to my fellow Subie enthusiast is to just continue going on our merry way and ignore the foolhardy actions of others.

I've seen a decent number of these "Type R"s.

I can't wait what gravity of rice the real Type R is gonna bring once they reach our shores

 

Between smog laws and the "hybrid push". Topped off with the average american 'performance' buyer looking for big power RWD or AWD cars, I doubt honda will ever bring a 'type r' here.

 

If they do bring it, we'll get the watered down version like the last one. Meh. It was still a fun car. I bought mine new.

 

At first glance this might not look bad but let's take a closer look...in no particular order

1) Unpainted body kit parts...because weight savings?
2) Missing shift ****...also because weight reduction?
3) Missing rain guards; driver's front and passenger rear...because aerodynamics?
4) Crap-tastic self tint job (huge chunk missing at the top of rear passenger windows
5) Tinted/smoked out everything except the 3rd brake light...which has been removed, accent pained white and tinted around?
6) Staples label maker decals? I don't even...
7) The TOP of the fart can bent in...because too much down force?
8) Chromed out fire extinguisher on the passenger A-pillar...because who cares if you have a projectile object near your face in an accident?
9) Mismatched tires
10) Last but not least, that car is STATIC...in an area with ****ty *** roads, potholes size of my..., and 4 seasons worth of different weather. That parking lot alone has 2.5inch fairly steep curb/dip.
