At least I think they were Street-view, they both had soccer ball-like objects attached to poles on their roofs. I'm going to have to keep looking to see if I end up on Street-view - they would have gotten a pretty good shot of me.

Yup, you saw that correctly. Google is using base Imprezas for Street View.

Yea the street view team is using the 2.5i versions. Based on the money I couldn't get the team to purchase the WRX version, but nevertheless it is better than the last set of cars we had in our fleet for the previous season!

 

That's pretty cool, but how come google didn't opt to get more gas efficient cars since I'm sure they will be driving a lot. I think they were using Prius before? Saw one of those street view cars on the freeway once.

 

Maybe they've got some Subarus for back-road/off-road duty.

 

I always see the blue Impreza driving around during work. Never knew what the ball thing was until now- I thought it was weather related lol
