Where you're going one way then the next second facing 180s the other way.
I too, snap over steered on sharp park rd. way back when I had my LGT (OG LGT.com member too). About 10k in damages but insurance fixed it, it was new at the time. I went with an sti next but I REALLY miss the creature comfort of the LGT, guess you'll always want what you don't have. Keep that in mind when you're looking for the next car and good luck!
damn Hide.. Hope everything works out in your favor. Although it's sad to say goodbye to the leggy, your right, it will never be the same. S*** i know mine hasn't been since the accident. Glad your okay, that's really the only part the matters.

See, I have the rare experience of actually knowing at least of some of what the previous owner did with my car. Bought new in CT in '01, Vishnu stage whatever by 2500 miles, 326whp by 5k miles, donuts in snowy parking lots, jumps, abuse of all kinds, and now it's in CA making ~272whp on a safe tune since it's been sitting for many years. I know the 5spd is going to die some day (56k miles and counting), but I am planning on it and so far it hasn't let me down. This is my 6th Impreza, and I have never had a 6spd because to be honest, it's only "necessary" in specific cases. My other Bugeye, the '03 I bought new, just passed 200k miles with the stock 5spd still intact and that car saw at least 10 track days with me at the wheel, and a few others with NASA pro drivers when I worked Safety at Sears and Laguna.
With what my 5spd has been through - seriously - if you break one, you are doing it wrong. Of course we all know it's much cooler to say you have a 6spd. However I can rest assured knowing that I had a 5spd - before it was cool.
Bah. Only if you drive like an idiot... and who the hell really needs much more than 300-325 anyways. I really don't see Heedz going all that crazy and it's really pointless on a daily driver anyways.
All these dyno queens kill me.
Heez... don't trip out on the 5spd unless you plan on going crazy. My trans has the same amount of miles on it as my motor... 214k. Only issue I've had was a stuck syncro. The people that break them are the retards out there street racing and going drag racing... not folks like you and I.
Hell... worst case scenario you have an issue and you put a built 5spd in.... or a 6spd for that matter.

Will do Matt thanks.
Well the thing is Ray, you don't know what the previous owners done. Esp since I'd want to track the car.... 5 speed won't cut it with a 18g set up. Now rebuilding and swap is possible but.... with the funds i receive.... highly unlikely. Rather go for something thats already done.
