They weren't in a black RS (04-05 headlights, stock rims, stock exhaust, no spoiler) with altezza taillights, were they?

I see that car roll by my house once in awhile...and they're not visiting anyone on my street.

when i got an apartment in LA, the manager was very upfront with me... she mentioned that there has been an occasional break in to the garage complex (right under the 4 story building, gated and with monitors) but fortunately no thefts. What she said was interesting though... she told me that gated or not, that happens to every place, and any manager that tells you otherwise is flat out lying.

I'm pretty inclined to believe that.

So even with parking behind a gate, becareful... and don't leave your gate remote in the car (we had strict rules about that). Not only does it make it easier for your car to be targetted and/or stolen, it makes you partially responsible for any other car that gets stolen (if they take and use your remote).

In the 3 years i lived in LA with gated garages, no incidents. But really, it's not hard to see how someone can get in who shouldn't, so becareful.

watch out near SJSU too. I live in an apartment on the south side of SJSU, my wrx got broken into mid december last year, in the carport, off the street. Theres been a bunch of incidents near my apartment as well.. cars broken into/stolen/stolen and stripped and abandoned.. I don't drive the wrx down there anymore.. need to move out of that area.
