firing .50cal near an unprotected human body will cause major damage... you dont even have to impact on the persons body to kill them. thats part of the reason they are classified as anti-armor like ***** pete shells and not anti-personell rounds.

who here own or at least have shot a bmg? mine kicks like a mule and is almost to $$ to shoot. been tossing around selling it. the only reason i havent is because i wouldnt be able to get another enless i move out of state.

though our were mounted to the catwalk of the ship so I really cant compare to what it must be like to fire one from the shoulder,

 

i got mine 30days before the law passed for cali. single shot unit. got it for 1500 from the gun store in auburn. came with a nice scope,mount,bipod and upgraded muzzle brake. they also through in the rest of the ammo they had on hand. my dad also bought a weatherby .300 mag at the same time so we got a pretty decent deal on everything.
