right click on anything within the library and it will show the path, browse to that path and make your changes?
Oh HRM! That would make sense then. Maybe I should read the "get started" bit so I can figure out how everything is laid out....
Thanks so much for the pointer!

I'm running a legit copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on my desktop. Love it.

I'm running a non legit copy of windows 7 32bit on my Atom Netbook, LOVE IT! I run full aero, on my ****ing atom! Windows 7 is great.

Can't wait for my Mini-PCIE broadcom chip, and then I'll be running full 1080p HD videos on my netbook with low CPU utilization. Windows 7 supports the chip natively in Media Center, and man, that's just great!

any processor related hiccuping? I guess you haven't gotten it yet, but will you elaborate on this once you get it? I'm running 7 x64 and the processor is too slow to run 1080p. 720p works but barely. I will agree aero is ****ing **** though! I'm running my winamp with opacity and the desktop just pops (having an LED screen helps too)

If you do some research on the Broadcom card he speaks of, people have sucessfully (or at least claim) for it to play 1080p MKV and other h.264/etc movies smoothly on their ATOM based computers.

It's definitely the real deal, just like Windows 7 hah

weird thing is I have an awesome graphics card on the lappy already. It's an ATI Mobility HD 3400 series with its out hdmi out. I think where it's crappy is its 1.6 Ghz AMD Neo processor, which is essentially the same as a netbook processor. I dunno why my computer lags as it does when I try 1080p. I've run only the movie player (GOM) at highest performance with no other apps running (not even utorrent in the background) and STILL it lags!

It might depend on the filters/decoders/program you are using. Some may not take advantage of using your hardware while playing the movie.

That should be able to run h264 acceleration just fine. I would update to latest drivers on the laptop, and then also get a solid codec pack like CCCP.

If you are running windows 7, you can then run Media Player, MPC-HC (comes with CCCP) or Media Center to play the mkvs or other h264 files. If they still playback choppy, something is not right.

I looked it up and your video card does VC-1 as well. So get new drivers from ATI, CCCP and try again.

What are some of the features that WIN7 has that XP doesn't (besides graphics) ? I have vista on my wife's laptop and it's driving me nuts, and unfortunately some drivers for the laptop aren't available for XP
I have XP now (on my personal desktop) and I am happy with it, but contemplating moving to WIN7. I rarely do any work with it (I have a laptop for work) and I use it mostly for games and movies.

I just got a new laptop and it came with it, my first 64bit OS too. So far I like win 7 but I don't like it enough (yet) to upgrade any of my other XP PC's .
