dang, that chick knocked your car the eff out.....broke the hood scoop & everything!?

glad they caught her and you're okay, but next time do like the dispatcher said and just get the plate and let the person go. it doesn't take much for people to flip out these days. she coulda went even more bonkers and tried ramming your car or pulled out a gun or shank. just let insurance and the cops take care of things. a car isn't worth getting hurt over.

definitely a few lbs at least, I could tell the difference just by holding up each hood at arms length, but I don't own a scale unfortunately.

I bought mine for the larger STI hood scoop (and I got a deal on it from craigslist)....I wouldn't buy it for JUST weight reduction, but I'm just stating, that technically, yes....its lighter.

and fwiw, my Seibon hood fit 100% just as well as my stock hood....and it IS a bit lighter.
Hmm... my aluminum GC8 hood is 11.5 lbs, and the siebon replacement for my car is 18lbs. This is mostly due to all the plastic used in fiberglass backing.

my insurance said her insurance might deny her. cuz technically it wasn't an accident and it didn't involve her car. so they said they might have to go after her or her parents.

haha i told the one of the cops that anyone who knew me knows i love my car and its basically my child. he said, "yeah i know. i have a subaru baja, we subie people love our cars!!"

Aye. I have no idea what mine weighs. All I know it is lighter than my stock one.

You did good by keeping your cool, getting pertainent info to the dispatch and not doing anything irrational.

I probabley would've not gotten the license plate info and woulda keep following the person.

I think the only difference is the scoop. The hoods should be the same. I guess the people at the ref didn't really know what they were talking about.

damn at least youre okay. when i was at a dead stop on the street i seen this red **** box car i forget what it was come up on me really fast as i was looking at my rearview mirror. next to you know i get rearended pretty hard. and hit the car in front of me. got a little whiplash. looked in the rearview mirror again and saw them trying to make a u-turn and cut out. i got out of my car and started chasing them on foot since there was a lot of traffic but they managed to get away lol.

my parents gave me so much **** when i told them saying that i should have just stayed inside and crazy people might have ran me over.

some people just have no respect.
