snowmobile exhaust question (2 stroke)

Trying to make my 500 cc twin-cylinder Arctic Cat snowmobile run quieter. It's PFL right now. I was thinking about header wrap around the exhaust manifold and expansion chamber to tone it down, maybe something laminated to the inside of the fiberglass hood. Any ideas?.

maybe try the Minnesota (mid-west) or Candian forums, don't think you'll come across many vintage sled jocky's around these parts

it's a 2 stroke...good luck.

there is a competitition that universities from all over compete in on creating quieter sleds. insulation. Cats and rerouting your exhaust is gonna do the most for it.

http://students.sae.org/competitions/snow/

maybe you can find out what some of them did.

These google ads are weird. At the bottom of the screen was a link to sledclub.com.

Thanks for the advice Pete & 1Man....

I did Formula-SAE back in college and it was blast but I didn't know they did anything with snowmobiles.
