basically, it's just Burton's fancy-schmancy nomenclature for the various types of wood (typically) cores & fiberglass laminates. all companies do it for every component & material of their products.

Any ways, I read that new boards often have a crappy base wax & that most should be hot waxed. BUT Borton is higher end and maybe your already set!
