Waxing a board can't **** it up... The factory wax is good for a little bit but after a few trips you should probably hot wax it.

hehe nice.... thanks all

but yea... after thought, when i was there i was debating about going with the t6 or custom x... t6 was a more expensive msrp price (100 more then the custom x), but it was cheaper by 10 bucks due to the sale. go figure... =/ damnit... kinda want the t6 now...

the t6 is bunk
i got an army of boards and im going to go ahead and say that theres not much of a point of going past the custom with burton, unless your getting the vapor. and yes, i have a vapor also. im seriously down for the arbors though; the wooden top sheet is dope for looks, and also stores a lot of energy, and they have an excellent base technology. all of their mid to upper level boards are assembled and all in austria where people give 2 s***s about their craftsmanship.

Wax on Wax off...I recommend every other time you ride if you want to go as fast as humanly possible like me. The factory wax will last a couple of days depending on what you're riding (i.e. ice, groomers, off-piste, powder, etc.).

Like the 1st response said possible de-tune edges at the tip and tail...but you have to ride it 1st to know if it's necessary. If it feels like you're having trouble initiating a turn (carving toe or heal side) and you know your bindings are set up correctly...then look into de-tuning...any resort tech shop worth a crap can do it for you on the spot.

to the OP: nice pick-up on the Custom X. I roll on an ancient regular Custom, and I've always heard nothing but rave reviews on the X.

I agree that you don't need to do anything to it. I just bought my board like 6 months and i havent ridden it and i'm not planning on getting it waxed. they said it was good until after your first season.... (depending on how much you ride that is.) No worries unless you want to spend the money on it
