Yes iron on wax at least

detune edges perhaps

hump it into submission.

That sucks they didnt hook you up where you bought it.
most places will at least give you a wax if you buy the board from them.

at least do an irom on wax, you dont want a roll on for your one and oonly before you hit the slopes.

good choice of boards bro. I rode my buddies custom X last season and im thinking about picking one up this season. Its an all-terrain board. I can take it from powder, to the park, to the pipe (eventhough all I can do is front side airs and pretty much such)

but yea, just like Irish said, hump it into submission

Yea, you don't want to wax it. Like others have said, it has a nice coat of factory wax that will last for a while.

really matt for years huh?

my brother has an burton X from 2007 season and he waxed his and it was fine. He sure didnt f it up. kept the base from getting hella scracthed from the first few trips of the season, and he waxes it oftne. it is a nice board but i wouldnt say the wax last for years unless you do just a small amoutn of trips.
