Cell phone photography is meh, but it's all I had with me.

Installed last night. Built one of my bike racks. Need to build the other.

Av3rag3 - that looks awesome. Do you need to pull out the headliner to do that? Do you need to modify or remove the black channel trim?

I have a bunch of Thule gear I was planning to sell, but if I can use these on my '02 sedan, I would keep a set of the bars and a deflector. Does anyone know if there is a Thule equivalent to those feet?

Stuff I need to sell:

1. Complete setup for '09+ Honda Fit: 400XT feet, 2199 kit, and 2x 47" Aero load bars, deflector.
2. Setup from my SAAB 9-5 wagon: universal rail attachments, 2x 53" Aero load bars.
3. 2x 598 Criterium bike carriers - the one where you do not remove the front wheel, and instead it grabs the down-tube and you crank it closed. These are awesome, but heavier than the ones where you remove your front wheel.

I need to see what I want for this stuff as I bought it all brand new @ Rack n Road so it was not cheap.

Not sure how Av3rag3 did his because there are a couple ways to do it.

1) being leave everything alone and drill/tap the OEM black brackets in the roof then drill a hole thru the black trim.

I did not want to go route one because the OEM bracket in the roof is so thin, I didnt feel comfortable tapping into that and having my set up being held up by those thin parts. Although others have done this and say it works fine (few threads on nasioc).

2) I went this route. Had 4 new thick brackets made that will replace the ones that came in the car. To remove the old/install the new, you do have to pull down the headliner ( I didnt have to completely remove it tho). I used black silicone on the base of the new bracket and around the new hardware to keep water out. Ive had them in for two seasons now with zero issues

In either 1 or 2, you will need to drill a hole thru the black trim as i stated above. When my rack is off, I just used a small piece of electrical tape to cover each of the small holes. You cant even tell unless you were really looking for it.

I did pretty much everything you said. I took down the headliner to get access to the brackets underneath the weather strip. I drilled holes into the weather strip in order to mount the landing pads in place.

Hmm I thought I subscribed to the thread where the guy had them for sale on nasioc, but seems he's edited/deleted his link.

But honestly the amount he was charging was ridiculous. I went to a pick-n-pull and got a stock black clip. Then took that to a local machine shop and showed him a pic of what I wanted. He used the OEM clip as a guide and took a couple quick measurements. He made all mine for like half price of what the guy was selling them for
